My Weekend

This weekend was kind of eventful. Friday I hung out with my old friend Chelsie along with Kassidy and a few others the whole night. Trey came over and spent the night then left at 10 AM the next morning to baby-sit his brothers. Chelsie, Kassidy and I then went to breakfast at IHOP. Afterwards we went to Target and Rose’s to grab some things for Chelsie’s graduation party that is coming up on the 14th. I went to work at 2 until 9:30, then Chelsie picked me up and we cleaned up the crap our friend, Kailyn, had pulled out of Kassidy’s car and thrown in the parking lot. Then Trey spent the night again. When we woke up in the morning, he had to leave again, and I had breakfast with Chelsie at McDonald’s. We then hung out in Kmart’s parking lot until we went to dinner at Chelsie’s grandparent’s house. We had some amazing steak and ice cream and strawberry shortcakes. Then I went to work, went back home, Trey spent the night again, and when we woke up in the morning Trey’s Dad was at our house because apparently we were supposed to go swimming. So we put on our bathing suits and went out past Mt. Healthy (I think) to Trey’s Stepmom’s Aunt’s house and we swam for about three hours before we returned home to eat fried chicken and potatoes.  When I went home I cleaned my room and went straight to sleep. Oh, and I worked on my music video for lab. Since we have to post a video, I’m just going to put that. Yup, very eventful. The end

Field Trip

Ok so today my lab and I wet on a field trip to the Krohn’s Conservatory and I went to the Butterfly Hall. You walk into a room FILLED with butterflies and beautiful, bright flowers and hot sweaty humidity. There are all kinds of butterflies; there is butterflies that have camouflage on the outside and a beautiful blue color on the inside, orange, black with red stripes, black with white stripes, etc. I was with my friend Dylian and he helped me catch a black and blue one and of course as soon as I start holding it a stupid wasp flies in my face and, knowing me, I flip out and run away screaming “NOPE!” and  I lose my butterfly. L By the end, we had sweat pouring down our fore heads. We had been walking in the heat all day and sitting on the hot, sweaty, grossly humid bus with at least twenty other kids my age who is also sweating as much as I am. Then we went to the Cincinnati Art Museum and the air conditioning felt so good! But the art was very pretty awesome too. I saw this one painting of  a woman breast feeding her two children. The time era was from the Italian Renaissance and I’m not sure why it caught my attention so much but it did. After we left the museum, Brandon, Kevin, Damon, and I went back to the bus for some lunch. Dylian and Hannah followed soon after and once it started raining everyone got off the bus to try and cool off. I was standing by the guardrail and Dylian “ACCIDENTLY” pushed me and I fell over the railing and scratched up the back of my knees. Then we all returned to the bus and went back to Diamond to catch our bus’ home. It was a pretty fun field trip all in all.

Food

So I haven’t yet told you guys about my love for food. I’m not kidding you when I say I eat ALL the time. I don’t even have a favorite meal, let alone food. I like some of the weirdest things and some of the unhealthiest foods for your daily diet. I may weigh only 124 pounds but I will weigh twice within 10 years.

·      To start off the list is something simple: spaghetti. My personal favorite is spaghetti with meatballs and original spaghetti sauce with some Parmesan cheese on top. I also love spaghetti with chili and a ton of cheese stacked on top. I’ve loved spaghetti since I was a kid and I make it at home at least once a week.
·

Next is Cheesy stuffed crust pizza.  Kassidy and I have spent hundreds of dollars at Pizza Hut just for a large pizza with pineapples on it. I used to work at Pizza Hut (sadly) and I learned how to actually make it so one day whenever I decide to learn how to make home made pizza dough I’m going to make a cheesy stuffed crust pizza every night and become awesomely fat with diabetes.
·      Another childhood favorite of almost everyone is Grilled Cheese and Tomato soup. I wont eat Tomato soup without crackers and a Grilled Cheese. Fun fact: When I was younger I used to think it was called Girl Cheese instead of Grilled Cheese and my parents never actually corrected me on it so I believed it was Girl Cheese until I was almost 9. Not one of my brightest moments as a child.
·      At Taco Bell, my mother introduced me to the Cheesy Gordita Crunch taco and it’s been one of my favorites since then. To have taco meat, pepper jack sauce, lettuce, and cheese wrapped up in a hard AND soft tortilla shell, while only being separated by a layer of cheese. If you haven’t noticed a pattern in these foods, I really like cheese.
·      Mozzarella cheese sticks can be made anywhere but only certain ones are the best. I love my cheese sticks to be crunchy on the outside while on the inside, the cheese must be melted to the perfection where its not spilling out but where its stringy and warm and delicious.
·      This, right here, is a bacon wrapped scallop. I’ve never heard of it, never seen it, and couldn’t believe it was real when I was told about a bacon wrapped scallop. I just recently tried it last weekend during my first visit to Bone Fish Grill. It is literally one of the best foods I have ever tasted. I’m not even a big fish fan, but this was a creation from God.
·      I love Salisbury steak. No one can tell me anything to make me hate it. I always make it with a side of mash potatoes and corn. I cut up my steak and mix it up with the corn and mashed potatoes. Then I get the gravy that is left over and mix it in with my dogs’ food. And I know Salisbury steak isn’t really steak, and honestly, I DON’T CARE. I like it.
·      I’m not high maintenance, but I really love sushi. My favorite sushi roll is the spider roll. It’s made of soft-shell crab, cucumber, avocado, lettuce, spicy mayonnaise, rice, and seaweed. I love how it’s slightly crunchy on the inside but it has so many textures and flavors in it that it’s just one of a kind.
·      Almost everyone loves Chipotle. I go there so often they know what I’m going to get before I even order. I smother it with sour cream. It’s as if when you say extra sour cream, they don’t understand what you mean. “Oh, you just want a little drop more? Is that what you mean by extra?” NO I want my chicken swimming in my sour cream. I have t say another scoop twice after I already have said I want extra. Chipotle is still good though.
·      Ok, I’ll admit, I’m addicted to McDonald’s. I memorized the price of my Frappe and everything. I love chocolate so I always get mocha instead of caramel. I also only get a medium fries with my frappe too.

·      Yesterday I tried my first French Silk Pie from Dairy Queen. I’ve never been able to finish a blizzard from Dairy Queen before, and I finished this one and it was awesome.
·      If you’ve ever been to UDF, you knoq they have some weird ice cream. My favorite is called Paintball Blast. You’re actually allowed to try samples of flavors so if you ever go into UDF and Paintball blast is there, try it. It’s REALLY good.
·      Last is Strawberry Delight. My mom has made this since I was a kid. It’s layers of angel food cake, strawberry glaze, strawberries, and whipped cream/cream cheese. It is the most heavenly desert I have ever had.

Sea horse info

Fun fact of the day! Did you know male sea horses GIVE BIRTH? And even weirder, they give birth THROUGH THEIR CHESTS. I watched the video in English today and oh my gosh it looks like an evil alien octopus is trying to be expelled from the sea horses chest. The baby sea horses tails are hanging out from the dad’s stomach and their tails are just floating and flipping in the water it’s so weird!! It’s creepy and the babies look like skeletons. My English teacher decided that the class needed to see it today and she was right when she said it’s disgusting. The poor daddy seahorse looks like he’s trying to throw up but nothing wants to come out. And there is a HOLE in his CHEST filled with babies! Seahorses can carry from fifty to fifteen hundred eggs, depending on the size of the seahorse. When he is giving birth he literally has to grab on to something with his tail to help him it’s so sad and disgusting at the same time I don’t know what to think. Male seahorses are “pregnant” from anywhere between two to four weeks and contractions can last up to twelve hours! Baby seahorses are also known as fry. That is probably the weirdest name to give them especially since they look nothing like fries and don’t even look like they were fried so I think that’s a poor choice in the naming system. Less than one thousand fry will survive because of predators. I never knew how weird sea horses could be, but thank you Ms. B for reminding the human race that child birth can be so much more difficult then what we do.

Quotes

“Try to be like the turtle, at ease in your own shell” –Bill Copeland
I really like this quote because Bill is telling us to chill out. Every once in a while we need to take a minute for ourselves to just calm down and relax; there is no need to be stressed out all the time. A little time to ourselves every once in a while is healthy for us.

“If we did all the things we are capable of, we would literally astound ourselves”-Thomas Edison
To me, this quote means that if we can do anything if we push ourselves to do so. The more we realize what we are able to accomplish, we will amaze ourselves.  We can do anything we put our minds to it, as long as we believe in ourselves.

We can change our lives. We can do, have, and be exactly what we wish” –Tony Robbins
We contain the power to change our lives. Imagine life being a ball of silly putty or play-dough in our hands. We are able to morph our lives into what we want it to be. We control the path our life goes on. If you were born in poverty, then you can get great grades in school, get scholarships to college, get yourself into a successful career and live a happy life.

“Give life and people will find the way” –Ella Baker
I put this quote on here because, well, I like it and it sounds pretty.

More of my life

Toby
Smokey
Mama

These are all of my pets. Mama is the youngest, she just turned one in February and we've had her for about a year. Toby is about three who came with my sister when she moved back in. Then there's Smokey, who will be 14 in October. We've had him since he was a puppy and now he's all fat and lazy and cute.
Angel
Haley

Kassidy
This is a group of all of my closest friends. I've known Kassidy and Angel since 7th or 8th grade, and I've known Haley since we were in diapers. Her Aunt and my parents hung out a lot and we were playmates as kids. I never knew Aunt Melissa was her aunt and when Haley and her mom moved to Harrison in middle school, Aunt Melissa came up to visit them. Melissa also came to visit my family and I and she said she would bring her niece (Haley) to meet me. We found out that night that we were cousins and we've been best friends ever since.  I met Jeff and Damon this year because we all go to Diamond and we're also all in the same lab. I didn't want to sit by myself on the first day of school so I went up to Jeff and Damon and decided I'm going to sit and walk around with them for that day and then we all just became friends.

Taylor, Taby, & Trevor

These are my brothers, sisters, and my mom. I don't have any pictures of my step-dad so he's not in  here.

I work at a Frozen-yogurt shop called Orange Leaf. It is exactly like ice cream (but has less calories) and OL is the best job I've ever had.
Channing Tatum is amazing all around. He's my favorite actor because he can play whatever role you need him to and he's unbelievably hot. If you haven't seen Magic Mike, you need to.
This is Diamond Oaks. I go to school here all day and hope to graduate next year.
I'm also an Adobe Certified Associate in Adobe Illustrator. It's hard to explain exactly what Illustrator is but basically it's like making pretty pictures on a computer.

This is another picture of me and my boyfriend. We don't take too many pictures together because he always wants to make an inappropriate face/gesture or takes a bad picture. I think there is only 15 pictures that we have together throughout the course of our relationship.

Random news for today!

Random news of the day: over 20,000 bees swarmed a student’s car in New Hampshire. No one is really sure why there were so many bees on his car, but he called pest control and had it taken care of. Honestly I would have sold my car or waited for the bees to leave or something. I don’t know how pest control found the queen bee out of 20,000 bees but he did well.

Kraft issued a major cottage cheese recall on Saturday after realizing some of the ingredients were not stored at the right temperature needed. Products coded with the expiration dates May 9th and July 23rd were only shipped to the US, so whoever has these date-stamped cottage cheese, make sure you don’t eat it or you might get sick.

Tally is a half bred husky who was raised around cats. This adorable little fluff ball of pure happiness thinks she may jut be a cat. Tally doesn’t like having her belly rubbed, but she DOES enjoy sun bathing. She is so adorable just look at those big cute eyes.  Look she’s even wearing clothes and she’s so fluffy and lazy and adorable! She reminds me of my sister’s half-bred husky, Toby, who is cute and fluffy and so adorable. Conclusion: all huskies are adorably fluffy and cute and the puppies look like little balls of fluffy dust bunnies.
